Wow

Typhoon Dianmu was a 70kt CAT 1 storm on NRL this morning, and now it's a 120kt CAT4! Now that's fast strengthening! What's more, it's now forecast to become a 150kt CAT 5. NRL puts it not very far south of Japan in 5 days - as a weakening 105kt typhoon. Looks like your friend from Tokyo really is looking at more than rain. Looking very impressive on satellite imagery - it is huge and now has a pinhole eye.
