Re: Invest 93L Up. About to enter the eastern Caribbean.

Invest 93L is an interesting little system that has maintained good form for a few days now. It has a weak low center with a somewhat high central pressure of about 1012mb. This morning the weak center clipped the southeast point on Barbados and the system has been moving more on a northwest trek since then. Weak low level banding has remained intact but convection has been limited until recently. It has about 24 hours before it will encounter some southwest to westerly shear, however after 24 hours the shear is forecast to relax a little. Westerly shear along 20N really declines in the 36 to 48 hour outlook. After 24 hours as the system approaches the eastern Dominican Republic (if the northwest motion holds), the upper level environment will become more favorable for slow additional development. The system should pass close to Martinique in the early morning hours.

Martinique Current Weather

Just something to keep an eye on - if the shear should relax as forecast.
