Two reasons come to mind.
The typical day has a rise and fall in the morning and another in the evening. Somewhat like the tide rises and falls.

The other reason is the Storm and the front just north of your area. They are ' fighting for space', tug of war.
Also known as barometric pumping the frequent rise and fall of the barometer prior to a storm passing.
You can see the same rise and fall during the winter with a strong cold front.
