Indialantic FL update: Closest measuring station reports 16.78 inches of rain in the past 30 hours...sewer system is taxed to the point of failure and residents are being asked to limit water use. Roads on the barrier island are flooded and impassable in Melbourne Beach and Satellite Beach. There is a foot of water standing in my side yard.
My home has withstood Jeanne, Frances (2004) and Wilma (2005). Their combined total rainfall is less than half of what this area has experienced in the past two days.
