As the storm begins to make it's very slow trip to the west, the conditions have changed significantly here in Ormond Beach within the last 60-90 minutes (we're about two miles south of the Volusia/Flagler line and west of I-95). Rain has stopped, winds have gone from steady to calm with only occasional gusts. I guess this is the calm in the middle of the storm. Ground is obviously very saturated but there is no standing water in our street or in our yard. The link below gives a great perspective: http://www.wunderground.com/wundermap/?lat=29.05377&lon=-80.91980 The COC is still over water, but the western edge has cleared I-95, hopefully the rest of the storm will follow it. |
