New Smyrna Beach, just south of Daytona: The day began with some heavy rains, strong squalls, but now, at 6:12PM we actually see the sun and some blue sky amongst scattered clouds. Judging from the radar, we are just inside one of the bands of dry air being wrapped around Andrea. The kids actually went to have fun at the swimming pool. No way this is going to last more than a few hours, as the radar clearly shows a band of strong rain heading our way across the peninsula. But for now, so far so good. Cheers! |
