NE wind has currently (8:45pm) slacked up a tad to 25 mph or so, gusting into the 30's here in Daytona Beach Shores. Around 8:30 pm in a rain squall it was NE 35-40 mph gusting into the low 50's. I haven't emptied the gauge since 5 am this morning. Eyeballing the tube and spillover probably around 3". Roar of breaking surf one block away is loud and constant, only unheard (at times) by the tropical storm force gusts and wind-driven heavy rain.
