Visible sat imagery and loops indicate a circulation may be developing near 24.5N 87W, on the western edge of the deep convection off the north of the Yucatan. It is pretty amazing to see how quickly the convection has blown up in this region, and given the more favourable upper level conditions perhaps we may see something develop here soon!
