Hmmm? did you read the 11AM EDT 17 Sep 2004 discussion?

A RECENT QUIKSCAT PASS SHOWS RAIN-FLAGGED SURFACE WINDS NEAR 60 KT
OVER WATER EAST OF THE CENTER AND THE ADVISORY INITIAL INTENSITY IS
KEPT AT 55 KT.

Now, granted, they're rain-flagged, but still...
