FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO... AFTERNOON SATELLITE IMAGES INDICATE THAT SHOWER ACTIVITY HAS INCREASED IN ASSOCIATION WITH A NON-TROPICAL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE CENTERED ABOUT 1100 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE WESTERN AZORES. THERE IS SOME POTENTIAL FOR A SUBTROPICAL OR TROPICAL CYCLONE TO FORM DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS THE SYSTEM MOVES SLOWLY WESTWARD. ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH SATURDAY. FORECASTER BEVEN |
