I answered my own question. Apparently the recon is going into the Carribean system today...recent QuickScat data confirms what Scott stated, no LLC and no westerly component to the wind at all. The area of most noted convergence from the NE and SE winds is pretty close to Venezuela. The Aircraft is not going into the GOM today. Radar shows that this is mess...and multiple cyclonic spins exist: Near Jacksonville, close to the central west coast of Florida, and SW of Pensacola. |
