12z GFS out to 204 hours (beginning of Day 9) has switched back to a southerly track and appears to be aiming for the Upper Texas Coast. http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod/analysis/namer/gfs/12/images/gfs_pcp_204s.gif This is just one of those storms that the models are having a hard time with the mid and upper levels (see scottsvb's post). We'll know more in a couple of days based on what's out there and where. JMO Steve |
