I might disagree some with my good friend Dem, in that if there is much of an optical illusion, it appears to me that this is mostly the result of the cyclone's llc center jumping around some, with the mlc a touch displaced. The very last frame suggests that the cyclone has skirted the coast with a northbound bias, and is now winding up even more. Strong banding now enveloping the entire center.
