Here is the WV Loop from Gustav: WV Loop If you click on "Forecast Points" on the top of the page, you can see that he is east of the NHC's forecasted track. Remember Fay's "wobbles"...if she hadn't made landfall when she did ... and she started making a turn faster than the NHC expected...she may have ended up making landfall as a Cat 1 further up the west coast of Florida. The NW direction may still be the "true" direction of Gustav, but we need to pay attention to things like this..because it could affect a lot of people's weather who are not prepared for it. For the record, I've been monitoring local and national TV and they are all mentioning the "wobble". |
