West-central Florida will experience rain bands and breezy conditions on Sunday and Monday, thanks to being on the eastern side of a large hurricane . A track slightly to the east of the current forecast track would elevate the rain and wind a little more than expected across the region; however, West-central Florida will likely escape any major impact from the storm. The rain bands should move quickly enough so that significant flooding is not a concern. Gustav is moving fast and everything points to landfall on the north-central Gulf coast.
