Keep in mind that you are contemplating a situation that is still about five days away - and any GOM system would still need to develop before any interaction between the two systems could even be considered, i.e., right now it would be speculation on a possible event and the Forecast Lounge is better suited to that type of discussion. For now, it is always good advice just to monitor Katia's progress and any changes in the NHC forecast.
