Re: Today is the First day of Eastern Pacific's Season. June 1st is the Atlantic.

The first storm in the Pacific, Amanda, formed and made it to Category 4 strength today. Fortunately it remains that way only in the open eastern Pacific. Still it is the second strongest recorded for May in this basin.
