Something in the GOM?

There is increasing speculation that something will spin up in the GOM this week. The Eastern GOM has been enduring welcome light rain as the trough left behind last week dissipates. Today however the picture is getting a little more complex a there is a new blow up of convection at about 85W. Also, do my eyes see a new vortex forming at 25N and 87W? Such occurences at the tail end of dying troughs over warm waters is not un heard of. Worth watching, IMO
