Off the coast of GA/SC

I was wondering what all the weird weather was about when I finally looked out at the long-range radar and had alerts start popping into my mail box.

Just what the heck is that thing spinning of the coast? Normal Low Pressure system turning into a fierce little storm or something else?

Just wondering...
