helpful info CB radios

Last year during Francis my children and I went to Tampa while my husband stayed at our house in Port St. Lucie. Once the storm hit, all the phones and cell phones were down everywhere so we could not reach each other. But he eventually got on his CB radio and contacted a trucker and was able to give the guy my number at the house i was staying at in Tampa. The guy called to let me know my husband and the dogs and house made it through okay. Just want to pass this on since it might help someone get ahold of family or friends some way.
