Ed Dunham - I'm Back

First, I want to thank all of you for your concern. My PC went south on the 22nd (bad hard drive sectors) and Bettye had cosmetic surgery on the 24th (she's doing okay) so I've been busy. Just got the PC online again and I see that I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Second, congrats to Phil on his new status - his help will be most welcomed when the 'crazies' hit the site later on in the season. I see that I've got a little editing to catch up on, however, I did enjoy the dialogue on Hypercanes and Global Warming - and I intend to leave them on the Main News Thread. My approach to moderation has not changed any, so don't be upset for too long if I fiddle with one of your posts. Remember that EASTPAC stuff belongs in the Other Storm Basins Forum, unless you're making a 'teleconnection' comment.

Third, I intend to eventually move this post (and any responses ) to the Everything & Nothing Forum. I'll also try to get a new thread going in the Storm Forum later this evening. It's good to be back!
Cheers,
ED

Welcome Back ED!

Ed, take this post with you, but IT'S GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK! I'll be glad to help you moderate during the crazy times, but I'll leave the main editing up to you, big guy. Even after all my crazy off-topic posts, to see that John would have such faith in me is quite an honor, and one which I will uphold to the best of my ability.

I myself just got back from a three-day, much needed vacation (no computer access, and didn't watch TWC except to get an update "on the 8s"), so I see we have some action brewing out there. Good thing too, cuz it's been real slllllooooowwwww the past 2-3 weeks.

Anyway, glad you're back ED. (BTW, can I ED it you? Only kidding).

Cheers, and let's let the REAL season begin,

LI Phil
