Hurricanes provide a needed function

5.8 EQ of the U.S. East Coast ?????

Interesting. I just picked this up on the EMSC alerts. There appears to be no confirmation on the seismic maps. Too many stations picked it up to think it was just a glitch. I´m wondering what may have happened. I´ll have to check again when I get back. Let me know if anybody hears anything.
