2008 season!

after reading up/watching the Bahamas wx conference.... Dr. Phillip Klotzbach with Colo. state... (the next Dr. Gray)... i think this kid/guy is on to something with his new statistical model that they have developed and are going to use this season... for statistical long range seasonal forecast.... Nothing perfect in that kinda forecast... but they took a lot of heat the last two season... and Dr. Max Mayfield sums it up nicely...

Re: 2008 season!

is it me, or are a few models getting a little jumpy with these frontal lows off the SE Coast? Curious to see how this low off the SE US responds to the high way out into the atlantic... should create some nice winds along the east coast... (between two highs) going to be interesting to see how it deepens as it moves eventually north and north east..... even though SST's are not even remotely warm (a hint of warm core is seen in a few models)...curious to see if the next low to form further south as a few models indicate and what it will do.....

by the way NHC added a new map to there homepage... nice?
