Sarasota gets 1st T-storm from Wilma

At approximately 1730hrs Sarasota got its first rain in weeks from an isolated outer band of Wilma. The rain was welcomed and we haven't heard thunder hear for quite sometime. It's been one of dryest Septembers recorded. I can't believe I'm thinking about buying a chainsaw this late in the season. I thought we were done! I'm waiting for Hurricane Alpha now. Why not?

And a welcomed rain it was too! It's been so dry in Palmetto.

I'm telling you! I am really sick of sweating to death also. We've finally had a few nice nights or should I say nice early mornings then the temp shoots back up into the ninetys. I'm ready for the cool air! One good thing though, the mosquitos haven't been as bad this year!
