I read that too. Not knowing much, I tend to get a little nervous when I hear of tropical waves coming from anywhere near the Cape Verde islands. So guys, go ahead and tell me that this is entirely normal and nothing to worry about, OK?!

Don't fret over every little flair up. You will go crazy.
There is always something in the doldrums.

fear not...the CV season hasn't started and won't really get cranking till near august...nothing is going to be making the trek across the pond for a long time...heck, atlantic season hasn't even started.

the folks who post on this board are quite attuned to any tropical activity, so if you come here and there's nothing posted, chances are near 100% there's nothing going on...

it's always good to be prepared, but we'll let you know when we got a little sumpin-sumpin to worry about.

Good to know! Just worrisome as hurricane seasons as we know it ended last year. It's like anything goes now. Glad I have you all to keep me grounded.
