Is there a setting where you can "ignore" someone's avatar on this board?

Re: avatar

Go to your home page and then in this section:
Display preferences, number of shown topics, languages, colors... You can select if you want to see their pic/avatar or not

Re: avatar

Thank you!

I really prefer to not know what someone posting on an internet BB looks like.

I do not want to imprint a personality about the author when I read a post.

I do like the cartoon characters and copies of art masterpieces!

Moderators: I noticed that the NHC discussion on Emily does not include projected positions and wind speed. They're there, as I have found them on other sites.

Re: avatar

There are two different processors for text data on flhurricane, the one missing the positions is the old system, still around to generate the text folder, and the new system, which generates the popups on the front page, as well as updates the storm positions on the left.

http://flhurricane.com/cyclone/wxstatement.php?t=TCD&m=07&d=12&y=2005

Is a way to see that directly, it doesn't have the "missing points" problem. I'll work on getting rid of the old system entirely and use the new one to generate the static text files.

Also a lot of the old historical data I have is just plain bad, I need to get a cleaner datasource for old storm positions.
