local weather for pensacola/destin?

does anyone know where i can find local information for pensacola/destin? my sister lives in destin, and i'm trying to keep an eye on things. when do watches and warnings typically go up? when do they typically evacuate?

thanks much from a midwesterner transplant to north carolina (i.e., i'm new to all this)...

Re: local weather for pensacola/destin?

Destin is having Mandatory evacuations as of 6am Saturday,as is all of Okaloosa county.

Not sure how far inland the evacuations go,but I heard from hwy 98 north to hwy 20,which covers around 10 miles.

Most of the major malls and workplaces im Destin and surrounding area sent everybody home today around noon.

Both Air Force bases shut down and ordered all personell to get at least 100 miles away before noon Saturday.

It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to go 18 miles today, gas stations are out of fuel, and those that do have fuel have lines blocks and blocks long, many are being patrolled by local police.

I was able to get plywood rather easily, which surprised me,but grocery stores are almost impossible to get in and out of.

I dont have a link, but you can do a search on Okaloosa county and probally find emergency services info somewhere.
