LSU Storm Surge Study

I came across this information the other day, but forgot to post it here.

Most, if not all of their study data is related to Hurricane Rita-2005, and her effect on the Southern and Southwestern Louisiana Coastal Plains.

"For years, scientists and bureaucrats repeated an often-cited statistic: Hurricane storm surge falls 1 foot for every 2.7 miles of marsh and wetlands it must cross."
