12Z GFS [Re: West FL Jess]

Mods, feel free to move this to another forum if it is inappropriate.

The 12Z GFS is showing a wave coming off Africa and holding itself together to the Eastern Carribean. Possibly our next worry area if this trend continues?

I'd like to see a separate forum for tropical wave talk, when there's an active storm (why do I get the feeling that will be, again, more days than not?).

If you are talking about tropical waves that have the potential for development, then this is the appropriate Forum. Keep in mind that only a small percentage of tropical waves eventually evolve into tropical cyclones. To have a Forum for discussion of any wave, goes against the intent of this site, i.e., 'wave mongering' or hyping every easterly wave is not permitted on CFHC. If something looks like its evolving or has good potential for additional development, then go ahead and share your thoughts in this Forum.
