DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Danny was located near latitude 11.3 North, longitude 40.2 West. Danny is moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h), and a track to the west-northwest is expected during the next 48 hours. Maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Danny could become a hurricane on Thursday. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center.
