DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lisa was
located near latitude 22.2 North, longitude 36.3 West. Lisa is
moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h). This motion with
a faster forward speed is expected to continue through Saturday
night. A turn toward the north-northwest is forecast on Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Lisa is expected
to weaken to a tropical depression tonight and become a remnant low
this weekend.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles (240 km),
mainly to the north and east of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
