1. Browser is important, flhurricane was designed using the Firefox 2.0 browser, but also tested with Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7, as well as Safari.
2. I suggest using a screen resolution of at least 800x600. Consult your operating system manual or online help as to how to do this.

This site was designed for ourselves to use as well, and you may or may not like our style. There is the links page for other pages.
Using Important weather statements for Central Florida and tropical disturbance affected areas. (Newest on top. - Click Here to Retry if incomplete): On main news page. All these statements are real time and are on CFHC as soon as the Weather Service puts them out so it is constantly checking for updates so from time to time you may need to click on the "Click here to retry if incomplete" to get the latest also during high peak times it might not show up at all, so you will need to click on retry to get them. Once you click on a statement and it opens up for you to read, you can click on the statement header again and it will close back up.
Many links on the page open up other pages in a new window. Which if you are new to computing, is sometimes confusing. If you can't hit the "back" button after clicking on something then there is a good chance you have clicked on one of these links that open up new windows. Use the task bar (or switcher) to find the other windows. We did it this way because we have found it the best way to get various information quickly without having to wait for everything. (While we are reading one the other is loading, etc.) This design decision will not change.
