Re: Florida Weather WU Blog

What a beautiful day. Almost got down to 50 this a.m.; broke over 70 this afternoon; decent breeze.

Getting caught up on spring work, after a 2 week absence. Everything that’s been trimmed is budding out already. Azaleas are post-peak; Camellias are done. Gingers and Jasmine are starting to bloom. Desert Rose is in full-bloom. The Red Maple is seeding out; and Oak Pollen Season has begun in N.Pinellas. I just love that yellow dust. Bananas, blueberries, and grapes haven’t seen enough water – hope they’re ok.

Pool temp is already over 70. I think that’s 3 years in a row, 1st of March or earlier. I put in my pool about 15 years ago, and for what I remember for the first 10 years, April 1st was the expected 70 degree pool.

Looks like we’ve got a string of good spring days ahead, though I’d like to get some good rain this month. We don’t need an active fire season. There have been 2 recent and decent blazes, each 1 county away.

I had a great spring training visit to Ft Myers and vicinity. I was unable to find any signs of EJ.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Good to see you here StPete, Largo, BillsFan, RMB.
