Haiti is starting to have some effect on Ernesto's structure, as can be seen here. Looks like a lot of the convection surrounding the llc is getting hung up on some of those peaks. Still, the llc is crossing the narrow westernmost portion of the island, and once finished, may start deepening at a faster clip, once more.
