Hurricane Dennis Ebay Items
      #42140 - Mon Jul 11 2005 06:52 PM

Below are some items for sale on Ebay to do with Hurricane Dennis, and yes there are some bids on these.

100% Genuine HURRICANE Dennis Baseball Hat: 100% Genuine Hurricane Dennis
Baseball Cap straight from the
third band of Hurricane Dennis

Has all the odors, dirtiness, and
the wetness - all straight from the
hurricane!
Where did it comes from - I've not
a slightest clue!

It features:
Yellow with black specks
Japanese (?) Logo on front

FOUND:
Right smack on my driveway during
multi-tornado warnings and high winds!

HURRICANE WIND IN STARBUCKS JAR AUTHENTIC:
Here is a VERY RARE ITEM with only a LIMITED NUMBER AVAILABLE so get yours now while the getting is good! This is authentic HURRICANE WIND IN A STARBUCKS JAR, and do not be fooled by cheap imitations!! This Hurricane Wind In A Jar is actual hurricane wind, captured and sealed in a jar, from HURRICANE Dennis. Additionally, this hurricane wind is MUCH MORE SPECIAL than any other you might find on ebay, because this hurricane wind was captured and sealed in a STARBUCKS COFFEE JAR! How cool is THAT? The label shown will appear on the jar, but the regular Starbucks lid will be of course visible, not to mention the unique SHAPE of a Starbucks Coffee Jar-- what's keeping you from bidding right this very second?!! It is extremely dangerous to collect this wind, therefore, we have a limited number of these to sell. Don't be disappointed-- bid early and often to secure your jar! Each jar comes with a label like the one in the photo, and this is a copyrighted label so please don't be fooled by a cheap imitation of that either! This is for serious Hurricane Collectors everywhere.

Hurricane Dennis - Fallen Branch :
Here is a branch that fell off of a tree in my own back yard just hours ago, just some of the nebulous debris blown down by the outer bands of Hurricane Dennis. I live in Dothan Alabama which is on the south-western most region of Alabama, so this branch was brought down by some of the outer-bands of Hurricane Dennis. Dothan saw tropical storm force winds and our area of the city lost power for about 4 hours, and only now can I list this item. The second photo shows where the branch fell. The first photo shows the branch after I brought it inside of the house.

Peanut Predicts Hurricane Dennis Landfall :
Ok folks last night my husband and I were out eating and I looked in the bucket of peanuts to get the next one. We were having a conversation about hurrican Dennis and where He was gonna make landfall. My husband an big weather channel fan says that it is gonna hit key west. I said Louisana. I looked in the bucket and grabbed a peanut. I sat it on the table and was about to crunch it when I looked down and saw a peanut that looked just like lousiana I looked at my husband and he looked at me. Now every one says that this hurricane is gonna hit key west even my husband, but I have a peanut that says its gonna hit lousiana. Now you can get the peanut that predicted where the hurricane is gonna hit before it hits. Get your bids in now. You will get with this auction the peanut that is shaped like lousiana, sealed in a protective case, and who knows it may be the one thing that you have to eat if your where the hurricane is gonna hit. So lets get to bidding and find out where the hurrican is gonna hit. I will be watching the news to find out. Come on and get the peanut that predicts where the hurricane is gonna hit. Its one of a kind.

100% All Natural Hurricane Dennis Water :
This water was collected by 4 year old Hurricane Water Recovery Specialist (HWRS) Isabella. As the outer bands of Hurricane Dennis reached Tampa at 5:30 on Saturday the 9th Isabella braved the elements, closely watched by Florida Hurricane Water Recovery Safety Officer (HWRSO) Jacob (her cousin), to bring you this one of a kind natural treasure.

Winning bidder can take this home, load it into your squirt gun and unleash the fury of a real Hurricane on friends and family.

Warning: Hurricanes can be unpredictable please use under strict adult supervision.

There is another auction that features a piece of shingle blown from someones roof. However, no bids on it yet.

Our stupid little oak tree in the front yard actually blew over in a t-storm from one of the early feeder bands. Never thought of it as a money-maker (just kidding). I can't believe people really bid on this stuff!

I wonder if anybody would be interested in any of last years debris. Still plenty of that around. We could give them 1/2 off if they come and pick it up themselves and a coupon for 25% off on this years pile.......Weatherchef

I`m cracking up, I think we`re on to something. I think $ 19.95 is a sweet deal. People up north could get their package and spread over their lawn and pretend they went through the same thing us Floridians went through and not to mention Xmas is only 6 months away. Think of the excitement of receiving such a gift. With present upswing in hurricanes our product won`t run out until the next big El Nino event.....We could retire by then............Weatherchef

Man, this could become a thriving business.... We could make pretty labels and bottle up rain water, flood water, displaced sand, in addition to the debris and wind that has already been mentioned. It's all in the marketing.

Man I about fell out my chair reading those special debris deals you all are offering. Seriously, people did the same thing on Ebay with Charley, Frances, Jeanne and Ivan. They sold wind, water, shingles and other debris. You all have been missing out on these easy profits.
What makes me laugh is the peanut that is able to foretell a hurricane landfall area, it didn't even go into LA, but people are still bidding on it, you all better fine one that looks like Florida, they way things went last year.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations..all packages come with a shingle found in the yard as guarantee of authenticity.

Maybe she just held the peanut at the wrong angle...if you were to turn LA upside down it would resemble Fl...people are nuts...pun intended.

Let's see.... what should we call it... (please remember, I have absolutely no background in marketing and have zero creativity)... It will have to be generic, so we can capitalize on all storms.... hhmmm.... "Storm Stuff" (I have absolutely no idea, really).... Our slogan can be.... hhmmm... man, this is hard.... "Our trash is your treasure"...Ok, I officially resign as Director of Marketing... next?
