A robust Tropical Cyclone, TD17, is traversing the Tropical Atlantic, and we are starting a lounge on SEVENTEEN, likely to be upgraded to Tropical Storm Paulette later this morning, September 7th, 2020.

SEVENTEEN has become Paulette and the title has been updated accordingly.

SEVENTEEN is now Paulette and the title has been updated accordingly.

Tropical Storm Paulette is currently forecast to have his intensity held in check by shear this week, which could prove to be problematic down the road if it keeps the cyclone tracking along a more southerly path. However, this is not the most likely outcome, and most model guidance and indeed the official forecast out of NHC leans towards a fish spinner. (TBD).

At this rate Paulette is going to return to square one and start over again.
