And hopefully, it won't, but if it does would that be a record for most hurricanes to hit florida in one hurricane season?
You never realy hear about more then one big (Cag 3+) hurricane in one season(Andrew, Hugh, Floyd) What is the avarage for "big" and "Cat. 1, or 2 hurricanes to hit land, be it the US, Mexico or South America, or the islands, in one hurricane season?

Well, being that I'm only 14, I probably have no idea, but I remember someone in my Geography class saying that the last time 3 hurricanes hit Florida in one season was back in the 1960s. I might be wrong, so sorry in advance.

No need to register i guess. I was born in Fl and I am 28. I have never heard of 3 hurricanes hitting florida ever. I think this is the first time. So i believe this is a record and i believe this may not happen for a long time again, if ever. Just been a weird year for weather.

Three hurricanes hit Florida in 1964 - two of them were major hurricanes. Three major hurricanes hit the U.S. in 1893, 1909, 1916, 1945 and 1964. Four major hurricanes made landfall (in the U.S. or elsewhere) in 1909, 1964 and 1995. Five major hurricanes made landfall in 1955.
