Here's an infrared view to 98L up on ...Should slowly move out to the NE without any significant worries.
Will keep south florida wet the next day or two.

Models Here

29, models don't show this moving out to sea... shows it moving up the east coast as a weak TD or maybe a TS. Interesting, didn't think this would even make an invest. Also NEVER be confident with an early storm.

Yep, 98L is a rainmaker here, should cross over the peninsula and then head out to sea. It may form into something out there, but it's not all that complex. A few more model runs should shake out any possibility for stalling or not. That's about the only thing worth watching on this system. Chances are it too won't amount to much.

Probably need some more models before we write it off. CLIP 5, for example, has an extreme right bias. Accuweather (I know, I know) has it going towards Wilmington and then so. New England. The Gulf Stream could be a real player with development.

Does anybody have possible rainfall estimates for this? The big lake still needs about 3 more feet before we hit the dry season. This will definitely help us out some.

Just know it is pouring in Miami and Miami Beach, all over, everywhere. Dark, gray, pouring. Streets are flooding and Indian Creek on Collins Avenue is up over the sea wall on the grass in a few places.
Radar shows a spin in the Keys, seems to be getting stronger not raining itself out.. would have to believe pressures are going to begin to fall.
Definitely a "disturbance" but more.. don't know, imagine they will discect it nicely on .

I'm up in Deerfield Beach (Broward/Palm Beach Co. line) it hasn't stopped raining here since last night. I thought for sure that the already swelling storm drains/canals would be at maximum capicity this morning. But, all along my drive to work, seems the only water issues is the standing water. Means is doing another bang up job of keeping on top of things!

I live in Port Saint Lucie (Saint Lucie County) which is about 50 minutes north of you and directly across from Lake Okeechobee.
My area has had continual rain since last evening.
It rains lightly for a while, then out of nowhere a heavy downpour occurs!
Water is beginning to build up on lawns yet so far in my neighborhood, streets have ample drainage.

There is a clear circulation seen just south of Miami on radar. Is that a new low?? Can anyone elaborate please?

This wave has an interesting yin-yang kind of appearance and distribution of moisture. Looks like it is pouring to the south and eastern portions of the state, while the west and north are dry. We had some showers that built up in eastern Polk county and looked on radar to be a threat to us here in Hillsborough, but by the time they got here, most of the moisture was squeezed out and they were just scattered light at best. We need the rain here too, but as long as the center of low pressure stays east of us, I fear we will get very little.

Post in reference to current systems... Named, Numbered or INVEST should be posted in the 2007 News Talkback Forum.
It is easier to group all of the current comments in one area, for newer readers.
Thanks
