A broad area of cyclonic circulation extends from the Bahamas across the Florida peninsula into the eastern Gulf. This area has some potential to slowly develop into a tropical or subtropical system, but it is already producing heavy rain and gusty easterly winds over portions of east central Florida. As of 08/1245Z, Satellite Beach Fire Station has reported 3.76" of rain, with over 3" at Patrick AFB and as of 8:30AM I've had 2.50" at the house. At 8AM Patrick had a wind gust to 41mph.

The conditions in Northwest Polk County are slowly increasing with clouds coming in and some continuous breeze. We have had rainfall during the night as evidenced by the wet yard with some leaves and debris coming down out of the trees. All in all it seems tropical and reminds me of the early beginnings of a tropical system. But I of course will go with the forecast as to whatever type of system they want to call it.

Clearly not tropical in nature, especially given the very broad impact in weather conditions. Having some nice squalls coming in here in S. Florida, however looks like the greatest concentration of rain and steady winds approaching Gale Forece is up there on the Florida E. Coast. Meanwhile lowest pressures are appearing to be close to or over W. Cuba. I believe I saw a 29.88 land report for Havana this a.m. Interestingly, recon has just been put on standby for "probable" invest over/near S. Florida for early tomm.

Solid rainfall for the past few hours here in Lakeland, FL, with some limited street flooding beginning to take effect, and wind gusts strong enough to bring down branches in the 3-4 foot long range.

Certainly messy down here in Grant/Palm Bay today. Overflowed the pool, filled the horse stalls (spent half the day moving horses and retrenching to drain them). A bit of wind (nothing that felt like more than about 40 or so - was away from my own home so no wind anemometer). No limbs down, just a mess...

Enough rain and wind already! Reminds me a lot of Fay. Usual flooding areas in Vero/Sebastian are flooding. Went to Sam's today and couldn't believe how high the water was in the parking lot, about 5 inches. And that was at 3:00ish! Heard on the news tonight Vero Beach has had over 10 inches of rain since Friday and also set a record on Saturday. I do not believe this county is in a drought.

Here in Polk County we have had continuous rain all night. It is still raining but I do not have a rain gauge to measure. The winds are dead calm at this moment. We have water standing in our front yard and we are on a hill! Backyard is very absorbant but there is a layer of wateron the ground. No high winds just a lot of rain.

Not the case here on the coast in Indiatlantic. Very high winds, lots and lots of rain the last 24 hours. Surf is rough with large waves pounding the beach. We lost a large tent on our ocean deck yesterday afternoon that we where going to use for a wedding . It collapsed into a mess of tables and chairs which is still there until the rain stops so we can recover whats not damaged. Lots palm fronds and tree debris around the area. A lot of people are wondering here on the coast if this was indead a tropical storm which the high winds indicate or is this going to be one of those no name storms that will go down into our local history that caught us with our pants down. Looks like its clearing a bit now over the ocean, but radar is still showwing more showers heading our way. Keep dry. Tomorrow will be clean up time.

As for condition updates, my family lives on Miami Beach on Collins Ave. facing the beach. My mom told me yesterday that since Friday its looked like a "hurricane" to her, which means trees blowing over, higher tide, and did she mention the torrential rain and wind. She told me the sun is trying to come out today.

The rain has started again and just had a gust to 40mph - and that is a few miles inland from the coast.

Here in Polk County, right now we have no rain and a hint of sun. The air is still but the leaves are moving a little. I guess the wind is just up in the trees? When I went out today I noticed palm tree bark in a ring around the tree. This bark was closely clipped so it took some wind energy to take it down.

Satellite Beach area of Brevard County is continuing to see more frequent wind gusts in the low 40mph range. With the condos making a funnel for the wind gusts on the beaches, a stop sign has blown over and the Exxon gas station pumps next to the Cove rest. is coming close to losing it's roof as it sways with every bit of wind.
