Area of Interest - Invest 96L
      #96410 - Fri Jul 29 2016 12:34 PM

At 29/15Z, Invest 96L was located off the west African coast near 11.7N 24.4W, as indicated by satellite imagery, with winds of 25 knots and a central pressure of 1009MB. Movement was generally to the west at 15 knots. The system is developing a growing circulation envelope and additional slow development seems likely. SSTs are 29C and although current light windshear will increase out of the southwest over the weekend, the atmosphere beyond that timeframe may actually become a little more favorable for another period of slow development during the first week of August. Current movement to the west should soon become west northwesterly and maintain that heading for all of next week at a fairly quick pace. Additional development chances are about 50/50 or perhaps slightly better than that by Tuesday. The next name on the list this season is Earl.
