I am not really sure what to think on this storm East of FL developing, however here in Miami we have seen an interesting change in the weather. It is currently 78 degrees at 2:55pm which is alot cooler than normal afternoons here. The wind definatly has picked up, and is at NNE at 20 MPH, With gusts of 27MPH. During the Early Morning hours, I awoke to what I thought was gun shots, but was distant thunder. This was at around 1:55am this morning. I fell back asleep, than waking up at 3:50am to the strong gusts of winds, heavy downpours, close, frequest lighting and heavy thunder. This has been a reoccuring patter here in Miami. Wierdly enough, it happens out of nowhere, for instance right now, we have the winds going, and the weather is somewhat cool. but out of the blue it starts to downpour, and the thunder and lighting last for about an hour or so, and then they go away and come back later. Is this the cause of the system that everyone is watching to the East of us? or is the the Reminants of Karen?

Well, as I have stated earlier, the weather here in Miami is weird. As I monitered the clouds all day, the sky went from having dark grey clouds, to a rainbow through them (which was cool) than it got really dark and rained a little, and then the sky turned a pinkish color, and the clouds were dark, and so I got curious and my fiancee ands I had to go to dinner in S. Miami and so while we were driving we took this picture with my camera..Lightning is definatly strong

It has been raining all day here in Miami. I woke up this morning at 5am to get ready for work. Conditions here in Miami were not too good. I awoke to get ready for work, and we were under a severe thunderstorm warning. As I drove to work, roads were flooded, and when I got to work conditions just worstened. We had customers coming in and wearing trash bags to try and stay dry, our roof began to leak and we had to keep cups under the area that as leaking. As the sun began to rise at around 630, the sky had that pinkisg grey I was talking about yesterday in it. We continued to get rain like it was monsoon season, and when the wind picked up, it only made things worst. As the day went on, the rain continued steady patterns. It varied from heavy downpours, squals and even light drizzly rain. I left work at 130pm, the roads were badly flooded, and there was a flood alert out for Miami. Driving back home, the houses that were off of the road were beginning to get flooded. The yards were full of water, and the rain just kept coming down. I dont know what all this is caused from, but it seems to me that this is an ongoing pattern each day. It is going to do the same thing tomorrow, and the next day and the next. Where did the sun go? Is there more than people say are going on here in Miami??

I'm up in NE Broward Co. and the sky is absolutely clogged with rain clouds although it's only rained a couple of time for a few minutes today. No gully washers. The wind has been steady out of the NE/NNE all morning but the gusts are ridiculous...I'd guesstimate about 25-30mph.
This would be a great day to revert to my childhood and strap on my roller skates and go outside with an umbrella...ala Mary Poppins.

In Boca today; the trip from Tallahassee was quiet until near Lake Okee. Watching a HUGE squall coming in from the ENE; should be pouring in about 3".
This looks/sounds like sub-tropical development if anything. ULL should be in the GOM by tomorrow. If something forms over the Gulfstream after that, I'd be surprized. Most R+ is south of me in Broward & Miami Dade. They're soaked, so I'll grab a beer, go out to the hotel balcony and enjoy the breeze!

In Palm Bay we just had, if there was a system offshore, what would be an outer band pass over. Heavy rain, winds NE at 30-35. Lasted about 15 minutes, but the sky has had that steel gray look all day. Winds have been up over 20 all day with higher gusts. I dunno, sure has that tropical "feel" to it.
Buoy check shows SPGF1 in the Bahamas with pressure down to 29.85 and falling. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=SPGF1
Company I work for has an international sales meeting starting in Miami on Wednesday. I told them that maybe this wasn't the best idea...

In Orlando, next to Universal Studios, it's very overcast, drizzling, a bit breezy but not over 10mph.

Very squally, heavy rain at times, winds in the 20 to 30mph range. We can use the rain though, so I guess we should be thankful its not a full fledged tropical storm.

It has been raining hard here for the past half hour, not to mention a storm going through last night. The roads are getting flooded, so much for our drought.

In Saint Augustine/ Jacksonville area it is dark and raining constantly. No thunder or lightning. Really strong winds. The rain is literlly coming down in sheets. Not a good day to go to the beach, unless you are a fish.

The rain has ended for now, I expect the upper levels winds to be unstable and produce at least a tornado watch as dew points are high and the southernly flow has begun here in Palm Coast, however, the watch if it is issued may be issued a bit further south then here.
