Subtropical Storm Andrea Lounge
      #99875 - Mon May 20 2019 09:44 AM

An area of surface low pressure developing along a vigorous non-tropical wave between the Bahamas and Bermuda is showing signs of subtropical to tropical transition, and a named storm has better than even odds of forming today or tomorrow before conditions for genesis likely become unfavorable Wednesday. This feature has been Invest tagged 90L, and we are opening a lounge on what has a very strong chance of becoming the first named storm of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

Advisories will begin on Subtropical Storm Andrea within the hour and the title has been updated accordingly.

I see two broad spins in the last 6 hours of the visible GOES loop. Is a surface circulation trying to co-locate with the dominant mid-level circulation?

Andrea (formerly known as 90L) is the circulation on the right (now to the ne of the western spin). The spin on the left was/is more or less the upper-level low.
