One has to wonder if this is a harbinger of things to come this year. A lot of shear and yet the storm is maintaining a really vigorous circulation. It looks pretty healthy for a circulation so far removed from the deep convection.
On the other hand, its really cool to watch this storm because you can visibly see all the low level vortices without much problem.
