Event 1974 superoutbreak (by HanKFranK)
     a tremendous outbreak of tornadoes, 148 all told, killed 330 people on april 3-4, 1974. a high percentage of those tornadoes were intense, F3 or higher.. with several being rare F5s. thirteen states were hit, with the worst swath occurring on the afternoon of april 3rd from north alabama to southern ohio.
