DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Edouard was located near latitude 42.7 North, longitude 46.0 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving quickly toward the northeast near 38 mph (61 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue for the next day or so. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. No significant change in strength is forecast before Edouard is absorbed into a larger frontal boundary on Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
