DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Omar was located near latitude 36.2 North, longitude 57.1 West. The depression is moving toward the north-northeast near 7 mph (11 km/h) and this general direction of motion with an increase in forward speed is expected over the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Omar is forecast to degenerate into a remnant low tonight or early Sunday, and to dissipate by late Sunday or early Monday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
