FLORENCE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 14 MPH...22 KM/HR...AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OVERNIGHT WITH A TURN TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHEAST ON MONDAY. THE CENTER OF FLORENCE IS EXPECTED TO PASS NEAR OR JUST WEST OF BERMUDA ON MONDAY MORNING. HOWEVER... TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS ARE ALREADY AFFECTING BERMUDA. A WIND GUST TO 58 MPH WAS RECENTLY REPORTED AT AN ELEVATED WEATHER STATION AT THE COMMISSIONER`S POINT ON BERMUDA. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS REMAIN NEAR 90 MPH...150 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. FLORENCE IS A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON SCALE.
