DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 AM GMT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Don was located near latitude 33.9 North, longitude 40.9 West. Don is moving toward the west near 6 mph (9 km/h). The storm should move generally west-northwestward over the next day or two and then turn northward this weekend. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. A bit more strengthening is forecast over the next day or so, with little change in intensity expected thereafter through Saturday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
