The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northeast near 24 mph (39 km/h) and this motion is expected to decrease in forward speed as the system moves into Canada. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches). TORNADOES: Several tornadoes are possible through tonight across the lower Ohio Valley, including parts of Kentucky, northern Tennessee, southern Illinois, southern Indiana, and Ohio. RAINFALL: Heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches, with locally higher amounts, is expected across portions of the Lower Missouri and Mid Mississippi Valleys into the Great Lakes today into Wednesday and from northern New York into northern New England Wednesday and Wednesday night.
