DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Humberto was located near latitude 21.9 North, longitude 57.0 West. Humberto is moving toward the northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h). A slow west-northwest to northwest motion is expected during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Significant strengthening is forecast, and Humberto is expected to become a hurricane on Friday and a major hurricane this weekend. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
